One more reason why health care needs to change.

I found this article (below) and video about a young child who was denied health insurance because she is too small. People who argue about reform and don’t want universal health care or socialized health care forget one thing. Our capitalistic society is not based on the fact that health care, energy, water, resources, education and so on can not be socialized. It is perfectly acceptable and should be socialized. Capitalism in the United States is based on the fact that you can choose anything you want to do if you work hard at it and you are able to leave your station in life. If you start out poor you have the opportunity to be rich, if your dad was a farmer you don’t have to be a farmer you can be a doctor if you want. Or you can start you own company from scratch and make billions. There is nothing wrong with socializing something like health care. It does not make us a communist or fascist country, it just means that we have decided that you can have the same medical treatment as anybody else and we all have to pay for it. Society is based on helping each other out. Why don’t I grow my own food? Because somebody else does that as their job. It doesn’t mean that I don’t get to eat. If we lived in a society where every person just got to keep what they made or grew to eat it would set us back thousands of years. The base word in society is social, you cannot have society without socialism to a certain extent so why can’t we have universal health care? I’ll tell you why, because too many people are selfish. They don’t want to share their money so other people don’t have to watch their family members die because they need a new kidney and don’t have the money to pay for the procedure. Well guess what mister selfish jerkoff! There are thousands of people who can never become as rich as you because they choose to work as farmers and the government has to subsidize their income just so you can eat and they can make enough money to stay in business.  And, they work twice as hard as you do. But I guess you would rather have that extra 50 inch flatscreen in your guest bathroom then pay extra taxes so people can get the medical attention they need.  I just thought of a new commandement that you Conservative Right Wing Bible Thumping Pederast Nutjobs can put on those two little imaginary stone tablets of yours, THOU SHALL NOT LET PEOPLE DIE SO YOU CAN HAVE A FLATSCREEN IN YOUR TWELVE CAR GARAGE YOU SELFISH JERKOFF!!!!

PEACE I’M OUT!

Man walks from Texas to Wash. with 12-foot cross

A man walking from Texas to his hometown in Washington state has had a cross to bear for months.

The Associated Press

ABERDEEN, Wash. —A man walking from Texas to his hometown in Washington state has had a cross to bear for months.

James Strickland says he’s been dragging a 12-foot cross from Longview, Texas, to his Aberdeen home since May.

The 39-year-old says he was praying about his troubled past when he received a message to start walking on a journey of renewal. He took along the cross, which rolls on wheels with his belongings tied near the bottom.

He expects to reach home Tuesday or Wednesday. Strickland says the trek has taken him through Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah and Idaho.

He says he hopes to reconcile with the mother of his two children.

Aberdeen police Capt. John Green told KXRO-AM that Strickland also has several misdemeanor warrants to clear up.
